Balance
When the spaces on either side of a central line, real or imagined, appear equal the garment has a sense of balance.
- Symmetrical balance: When the spaces on each side of the garment look just the same.
- Asymmetrical balance: design of a garment with visually different sides; balanced by design elements with various visual “weights”.
