Line

Line is a series of points connected to form a narrow path. 

• Silhouette: a line that forms when one or more lines come together to enclose an area.

• Structural lines: are framed by sewing the different parts of a garment together.  They include seams, tucks, gathers, pleats, neckline, armholes, waistlines, and hems.

• Decorative lines: are created by adding trims, such as braid, edgings, lace, buttons, or decorative stitching, to a garment.
