"This quilt took me many years to make. I designed the flower blocks and basket blocks myself. Making this quilt gave me a very deep satisfaction as I hand appliqued and hand quilted each bouquet. For most of my life I've had large flower gardens. But in my retired years as a quilter I've had to grow flowers indoors. Perhaps that is why I spent so long making these flowers. The ribbon was very challenging too. I like the way it turned out - elegant and warm."
