"The flowers in this quilt come alive for me. I wanted to do something unique with these wild begonias, daffodils, and snapdragons. I discovered Kumiko Sumo's book 'Fantasies and Flowers' and used her flower bocks against a beige background of leaves. The flowers are refreshing to my eyes, especially when I see it on a bed in the springtime."
