"Japanese culture and fabrics are very inspiring as a quilt maker. I made this quilt from a pattern in Kuroha Shizuko's Log Cabin book. The materials are all cotton, a combination of American and Japanese fabrics that range from light blue and white prints to a very dark indigo blue. They create a somber and meditative mood like many Japanese kimonos."
